Drawing: Pen/Ink

A massive, lumbering figure approaches from just over the horizon. In the foreground, a serene pond twinkles in the sunlight with a plastic-wrap sheen.

A strange creature with elephant-like features and giant feet travels in his riding contraption, a layer of red dust coats everything.

A very old entity known not by name but only by its excellent camouflaging skills.

This is from a frighteningly old sketchbook that I unearthed from the catacombs. The papyrus might as well have crumbled before I scanned this, but it survived the digitization process unscathed, apparently.  read more »

This is something that I sketched recently when I was trying out a new set of Letraset markers. I am in love with these things. To me they feel better than any other marker I've ever used. Great for drawing, but on the pricey-side at around $5 bucks a pop. They are worth it though, in my summation.

Another old doodle that I found in a sketchbook. Rough, but I like the stilt-legs look, it works. But man does it make the arms look stumpy! Known to make the fingers tense up awkwardly as well.

This image illustrates a cro-magnon man or other barely evolved man-beast strutting around with a large stick-like weapon and with a strange looking animal/thing on his back for company.

A parade of identically-moustached individuals for your consideration and amusement. WTF is up with those weird hand gestures? Hilariously awkward and lame. Good stuff.

This sketch is from a really old journal (maybe 15 years old or so). I don't do a lot of this "fantasy" type stuff anymore, but I was into it as a kid, for sure.

Something I drew in an office meeting the other day. I don't normally draw animals, so this was interesting to me to see where I was at with that without practicing. I'm sure I would do less well on a whole-body rendering of a tiger. I will have to try it another time.
