Surrealism

I really identify with Chris Mars and his work. Not only because we are both former drummers of punk/indie rock bands but also because we both paint very bizarre paintings with more than a hint of morbidity to them. When you stare at Mars’ work you know that you are submerged deep into a vat demented genius. Check out his site.

I have loved Escher’s work from the first moment I saw it as a young man. I am sure that sentiment is pretty universal and that everyone on Earth is familiar with his work. If not, his official site is linked below.  read more »

“A Lesson Is Learned, But The Damage Is Irreversible” Regrettably the creators of this site (Dale Beran, writer and David Hellman, artist) are now on hiatus, however, the layout and art to be found at this site is highly stylistic and in general, really interesting. The archives alone are worth the price of admission.
