Son of DaVinci

[weblink] Comics, Illustrator, Painter

Son of DaVinci features the excellent artwork of Micah J. Gunnell. The user interface on his site is interesting in and of itself. Make sure to browse through the Inks and Colors and Sequentials sections of his site. Good stuff.

Stephen Gilpin

[weblink] Comics, Illustrator, Painter

Stephen Gilpin is a fantastic painter, illustrator and comic artist with a very cool style to his work that I really like. Pay his site a visit, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Richard Pose

[weblink] Comics, Illustrator

Richard Pose has some good illustrations and comics on his site that you might want to check out. The navigation on his site seemed broken in places, so if you get stuck, I’ve listed links both to the main page and the comics section as well.

Tomer and Asaf Hanuka

[weblink] Comics, Illustrator, Painter

Tomer and Asaf are twin brothers of unimaginable talent, brilliance, and illustrative prowess. In addition to their solo illustration work, they have created a series of five (so far) experimental comic books together titled Bipolar. Very highly recommended.  read more »

Tommy Kovac

Another great artist on the Slave Labor Graphics roster, Kovac’s work warrants a look or three.

His comics include Stitch and Skelebunnies. Promising titles indeed. Click through to see what I mean.

Red Meat

I have always loved this twisted newspaper comic by Max Cannon.

Here you can find not only the latest Red Meat strips, but also vast quantities of the stuff in the Meat Locker. A must-see site.

Elsie Hooper

Elsie Hooper is a long running (since 2002) newspaper comic written and illustrated by Bob Krzykowski with a very dark storyline.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, go to the archives and start at the beginning. It draws you in pretty quickly.

Fabricari

[weblink] Comics, Cyberpunk

Sexy Robots and Violent Cyberpunks Webcomic”. If that tagline isn’t enough for you then a more in-depth description is unlikely to move you either.

Fabricari is the fine work of Steve “Fabricari” Harrison and co-writer Adam White. I like Steve’s art quite a bit and I recommend taking some time to browse through his image galleries. Good stuff - check it out.

Real Life Comics

[weblink] Comics, Non-Fiction

This weekly-updated Web comic by Greg Dean has been running since ‘99. Cool art style blending R.L. and comic styles, with good R.L. dialogue. Aptly named, and recommended.

A Lesson Is Learned...

[weblink] Comics, Surrealism

A Lesson Is Learned, But The Damage Is Irreversible” Regrettably the creators of this site (Dale Beran, writer and David Hellman, artist) are now on hiatus, however, the layout and art to be found at this site is highly stylistic and in general, really interesting. The archives alone are worth the price of admission.
